Norine
Norine Mindeyes a budding artist with a beautiful approach of using lyrical words to express dreams and realities of life. Mindeyes writes inspiring lyrics, which are often rich in social and political themes. Her lyrics are inspired more by common world experiences that she puts into engaging melody.
Norine started singing at a very young age in primary school with a French club, then proceeded to high school and was discovered by the high school music band. Norine sang with a church band in her home town and she continued to follow her musical dream in university, where she had a music partner with whom she engaged in writing music and performing at functions, competitions and social nights.
Craig Hunter, proprietor of ‘Banana Row Music’ in Scotland, discovered Norine while touring with his Band in Nigeria and continued to mentor her since then.
Norine grew up in the North Eastern part of Nigeria where the Civil liberties for females is at the lowest tolerance. At an early age she refused to be hemmed by the boundaries of gender and culture surrounding her when she actively engaged with pop music.
She co-founded a music band called "No 'T' No 'C’ ". At the time, she graduated from high school as the only female among males in the band, which was well known in her home state and suburbs. Music was always been part of her family background and her passion to help the deprived, neglected and oppressed to bring unity amongst all.
Norine Mindeyes , looking at so much happening around the world, she penned down ‘United’ to contribute to the music world; a gateway to presenting and resolving world issues. 'United' is a contemporary song touching the lives of people around the world; the most important headlines which are war, poverty, racism and good governance is an emblem of this song.
